FAQs – All your questions answered…

While we can’t tell you exactly what the weather will be like for the rodeo, or predict who will win the Open Bull Ride, we can answer lots of other questions.

Below is a list of questions that we’ve been asked recently on our Facebook page and our responses. Of course, if you have an question just pop over to our Facebook page or send us your question via Messenger as we’re only too keen to help.

Hi, what is the best way to purchase tickets to your event?

Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.alexandrarodeo.com.au/.
If you purchase tickets online, you will receive a digital ticket (via email) that you can print or bring with you and show at the gate upon entry.

Limited tickets can be purchased at the gate on the day of the event (pending availability).

There is no difference in online vs gate pricing, but online purchase gives you the chance to win a $250 Simpson’s Fuel voucher.

Can we purchase additional tickets later?

Of course. You can purchase tickets at any time online, or at the gate (pending availability).
Just show all tickets at the gate upon entry.

In case of an emergency (flood, fire, etc) are tickets refundable, or kept until a postponed date.

The safety of all visitors and competitors is paramount for us at all times and if there is the need to postpone and/or cancel the event we reserve the right to do so. However, the Alexandra Pro Rodeo is run in a great outdoor location. Our event has been held safely despite local storms, fires, and amidst COVID with appropriate safety measures in place. The chance of us cancelling our next event is small.

In the event the Rodeo is cancelled or postponed we will immediately transfer your tickets to our next available date at no charge.

If there are extenuating circumstances you are welcome to contact us about a refund via our Facebook page or the email address located on your ticket.

Just curious, will you have EFT at the gate and bar?

Yes, we will have EFT at the gate and for bar ticket sales. However, we can’t yet confirm which food stalls or trade sites will have EFT, so best to bring some cash with you regardless. We look forward to seeing you at the Alexandra Pro Rodeo.

Can I purchase tickets at the gate? Or do I need to buy tickets online?

You can get tickets at the gate, however if you pre-purchase you also go into the draw to win a $500 Caltex fuel voucher to be drawn on the Saturday night. We look forward to seeing you at the Alexandra Pro Rodeo.

What time does the rodeo start on the Saturday?

The rodeo kicks off with music from 3PM. Please check our FB page for the full program.

Hi, just wondering if pets are allowed if they are kept on a leash?

No, I’m afraid we can’t allow pets anywhere near the arena, so pets are not permitted. Hope to see you at the rodeo!

Do we bring our own chairs? What are the seating arrangements?

The arena sits beside a hill which acts as an awesome ampi-theatre. You’re also free to get up close and personal at ground level near the arena or the stage (yes they’re at the same place). The popular options are to BYO rug or chairs. You won’t be disappointed with your view of the action!

Can we bring food/snack and drinks (non-alcoholic) into the venue?

Food and drink service will be provided by local not-for-profits as a fundraiser and we also have some local food vendors. We’ve instructed that all food is reasonably priced. We don’t allow food or drinks to be brought into the events unless you have specific dietary needs. (If you have a little snack in your purse, you won’t be arrested!)

I was just wondering if there’s any places to camp within walking distance to the rodeo grounds? Thanks.
